Helena is a writer based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Past recipient of the CENDANA Development Funding Programme 2019 as well as the Hai-O Arts & Culture Grant 2019 for staging a puppet theatre production based on her adventure game book entitled Pak Pandir: A Malaysian Adventure.

About Me
Helena Foo is a professional theatre director, writer and actor with almost 2 decades of experience. Having graduated from Sunway University in 2006 with a Diploma in Performance + Media, she later on became the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre’s youngest Resident Director at age 19.
Helena spreads her love of the theatre though teaching speech & drama, creative writing, public speaking and English Literature to children, young people and adults under her co-founded company SIAPA Theatre. She also writes scripts, screenplays, and CYOA books as well as does copywriting, proofreading and other creative writing work. When time permits, she directs stage productions focusing on puppetry, physical theatre, & circus arts.
Her recent directorial works and performances include Pak Pandir: A Malaysian Adventure, IM Entertainment’s The Human Exhibit: Mental Health, VSC Project's DUALITY, Suna Productions' In A Different Light, and Fajar & Senja at Iskarnival 2018.
